Love Our Schools Day
Dysart Unified School District hosted a Love Our Schools Day in partnership with the City of Surprise’s Day of Service. This day of volunteer work was aimed for projects on school campuses, as well as general clean up. I was honored to be invited to participate in this event by Sonoran Heights Elementary School. It was truly a great way to show pride in our schools.
In honor of the many great community partners the city has, OUAZ held a Special Needs Recognition event at the final home football game. While the game did not end in favor of the Spirit (14-18), they ended the season with a 9-1 record. I thank the staff, students and fans for a great football season. I am looking forward to attending the upcoming basketball and volleyball games which will be held in the new Faith Arena. For more information and to purchase tickets, please visit www.ouazspirit.com.

The City of Surprise was honored to start the Veterans Day celebrations with a ribbon cutting at the Veterans Reflection Circle.
